Shower helps moms

ORANGE GROVE - Big bags full of gifts and free supplies were in the hands of more than 200 recipients at the March of Dimes Community Baby Shower on Wednesday. As advocates who work to give all babies a fighting chance against threats to their young lives, the Mississippi Chapter of March of Dimes leaders decided to pull their resources together to hold the unique event at the Orange Grove Community Center in Gulfport. A line of excited mothers, fathers, aunts, uncles and grandparents reached out the door and into the parking lot to bring home the free diapers, baby clothes, formula and other baby items.
