Babies can Choke While Sleeping in Car Seats.

Leaving babies unattended in standard car safety seats can harm the child as it may cause breathing problems, according to a recent study. A study conducted on 43 children suffering with Hypoxia by Researchers at the University of Auckland in New Zealand showed 90% of them had been left sleeping in the car seats. British Medical Journal published a study this week claimed that the positioning of babies in car seats could narrow their upper respiratory tracts. Parents complain of their child turning blue. Childrens heads were bent forward, with their jaws bent towards their chest, further their throat muscles to aggrevate the situation; this was noted by Prof. Alistair Gunn. Researchers also proved that one of the factors making infants vunerable to hypoxia was their mothers smoking.
