Community Baby Shower deemed a success

COVINGTON - Organizers of the first Community Baby Shower, which took place early this month at the Women's Resource Center in Covington, deemed the event a success. "We had a great turnout with 25 individuals participating in the day's activities,' said Kathy Walker, who spearheaded the event. "Response from evaluations received from participants and presenters has been overwhelmingly positive. The event will definitely be conducted again in the future,' she said. Walker is coordinator of the Fountain/Warren County Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Program - one of the programs sponsored by the Covington-based Community Action Program, Inc. of West Central Indiana. The shower consisted of a series of 10 educational presentations by various speakers, repeated throughout the day.
